Celina Nswila story is one of determination to overcome the brutal hardships of poverty to generate sufficient income for her and family. Some 20 years ago Celine started out by growing and selling vegetables on a small scale to make ends meet, having generated sufficient capital, she decided to transition from subsistence agriculture to value added manufacturing.
She enrolled on short courses and programs to raise her skill set. Initial focus was on Batik but after attending a Soap Making program, her focus shifted culminating in the founding of Mount Mbeya Soap company which now employs six (6) full time employees and provides employment opportunities to many more through a sales commission based model
